The Unsung Hero

Freedom is overrated.
It isn’t life or death any more
There is no land to fight for
Mundane lives with settled drives

People leave behind
To live another night
Never turning back
Nothing bottled on the rack

This is what you sing of?
This is what you yearn for?
What about the Unsung Hero
Who keeps the furnace alive?

Like a wall he stands there
Forgotten, forbidden to move
Do you think he could nt leave?
Freedom he can’t conceive?

Well he chooses to be the wall
So you could scale it and jump
To the other side and run free
And he smiles to see you happy

He is forgotten still
A man of resolute will
He keeps the furnace alive
Come see the passion in his eyes..
